The government is unicentric and multidimensional with the aim of providing better treatment through treatment, treatment, education and research of digestive system liver diseases.
Aims and Objectives:
1) To create public awareness about the causes, severity and treatment of digestive system and liver diseases.
2) To create trained human resources in the treatment of digestive system and liver diseases.
3) To establish a hospital or center of international standard for treatment and research of diseases of the digestive system and liver.
These goals and objectives will be implemented in several phases
(1) First step
Comprehensive prevention, public awareness and counseling of digestive system and liver diseases in following ways
A. Digestive System and Liver Clinic Service:
Examination and consultation of patients with digestive system and liver, gallbladder, bile duct and pancreas.
b. Free Friday Liver Clinic Service:
Free consultation of patients by gastro-liver specialist in different parts of the country every Friday.
c. Investigation Service:
All laboratory tests of the digestive system and liver, gallbladder, bile ducts and pancreas at the lowest cost.
d. Vaccination Service:
Hepatitis-B vaccination as recommended by specialist doctor to prevent liver disease.
e. Hepatitis Screening Service:
Screening for hepatitis B and C is done.
f. Public Awareness Service:
Discuss prevention and various aspects of digestive system and liver diseases with health and mass media personnel. Publish informative articles about liver disease on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, newspapers and health magazines. Liver discussion program in media.
G. Web Site Services:
Communicating and exchanging information about diseases of the digestive system and liver with the outside world through web sites.
(2) Second step
Implementation of phase I activities and providing diagnostic facilities in diagnosis of digestive system and liver diseases.
(3) Third step
Comprehensive implementation of first and second phase activities. Establishment of centers for medical, interventional and surgical treatment of patients with digestive system and liver, gallbladder, bile duct and pancreas.
(4) Fourth step
Creating a Center of Excellence for Liver & Biliary Diseases in Bangladesh for the prevention, treatment and research of digestive system and liver diseases
